How to Join
To apply for membership in Southeast Texas Ghostbusters, you must be 18 years of age or older.
Please Note: We ask all applicants be able to pass a high level background check to verify no felonies are on their record; this includes a verification with no results found on the national sex offender registry).
You will be required to fill out an application and pay a non-refundable application fee, this covers your background check. (More info TBD)
Once you are approved, you will be on probation as a Rookie for one year. During this time, you will need to complete your uniform using the details below and attend at least TWO events with the team. You will NOT be required to build nor purchase a proton pack within your first year, however it is encouraged.
- A flight suit
- Black boots (or shoes with pants untucked)
- White web belt (Grey or black depending on jumpsuit style)
- Elbow Pads
- And at least one belt gizmo. Examples:
- MT500 Motorola Walkie Talkie (or Baofeng UV-5G Plus [Baofeng was used in Frozen Empire however the one used in the film requires a Ham radio license.])
- Belt Gizmo (circuit board + daughter board)
- Leather belt fobs with clips
- LifeGard 2
- PKE Meter
